In the winter of 2013 we began to take a long hard look at our town, our goals, and our mission. We felt something was missing. We wanted a space, a place, where like minded people could gather for, and supply, their adventures. We felt needed a central hub. An adventure headquarters. A gear shop. We found one. 
Right on Main Street in Downtown Farmville, in the middle of the Green Front Furniture complex, next to an entrance to High Bridge Trail, across the street from the Appomattox River, and neighboring several great locally owned shops, cafes, and restaurants, stood our new home. All it needed was a little TLC. 
We began the renovation process in the late summer, and turned the once North Gate Service Station, into The Outdoor Adventure Store. 118 North Main Street has seen many faces over the years, serving as a service station, several retail shops, and now….The Outdoor Adventure Store and High Bridge Bikes. 
Renovation the property was a labor of love, but it was absolutely worth the final outcome.
Currently The Outdoor Adventure Store sells high quality goods for the active lifestyle. We offer brands such as Life Is Good, Black Diamond, Petzl, Marmot, Keen and many more! The store sells clothing, accessories, gear, shoes, bikes…the list could go on forever! Are we missing your size or color preference? We can special order almost anything!
The Outdoor Adventure Store is also home to High Bridge Bikes, Rentals and Repairs. We offer everything from basic tune ups, to part installations, to major overhauls and special orders.
